The Practitioner - Christa Borcherding, Usui Reiki Master ICRT

Reiki is a Japanese stress reduction and relaxation method that also promotes energy balance and healing.

Christa started working with Reiki in 1998 and is certified as Reiki Master by the Intl. Center for Reiki Training.

Her experience with Reiki started with her own personal triumph following a serious accident that left her debilitated and in excruciating pain. Reiki helped her to regain control and enjoyment in life when nothing else was working.

From there she came to understand the benefits that Reiki is bringing to others, and now, as a Reiki Master she treasures the opportunities for healing and improved health of her clients, as they too, experience the benefit of Reiki.

Christa is giving private Reiki sessions and is conducting Reiki training at a chiropractic office owned by holistic chiropractors and shared by several holistic practitioners.

Christa has extensive experience working as a Reiki practitioner /master in the health field. She has been working for a local hospital affiliated Adult Day Health Care program for clients afflicted with chronic illnesses since 2003. She is giving individual Reiki sessions and is also leading a Guided Meditation with Reiki group

She also provides services for Adult Day Health Care Program attendees of a local Nursing and Rehabilitation Center conducting Guided Meditations with Reiki groups.

Her clients have expressed her gratitude for the consistent experience of deep relaxation and stress reduction. It is absolutely wonderful to observe how well they respond to the Reiki as well as Guided Meditation experience and she is delighting in the hugs and positive responses that come so easily.

Christa has worked with the World Trade Center Healing Services providing Reiki at several locations in NYC.

She also had the opportunity to work with several community agencies at Mt. Manresa (Jesuit Retreat House).

She also enjoyed very much working with a very busy veterinarian clinic in NJ giving Reiki as supportive care for chronically ill pets and after surgeries to accelerate healing.

The Jacques Marchais Museum for Tibetan Art invited her in 2003 to conduct fund raising events .Reiki for Pets. honoring the birthday of St. Francis. Saint of the animals. The pets were invited into the temple and received short individual Reiki sessions. The 2004 event was documented by SI Community Cable and excerpts were broadcasted on NY1.
