Q: What is Reiki?
A: Reiki is vibration energy work. Its purpose is to reduce stress and tensions and to create a natural energy balance. Daily stresses in our life...
  • Mental stresses, such as not finding a solution to a problem
  • Emotional stresses - such as being in disharmony with one or more persons
  • Physical stresses like pains
  • Stresses in our environment
  • Side effects of medicines
  • Chemicals added to our foods
... Reduce our innate ability to heal ourselves

Reiki energy is beneficial in releasing those stress factors and is replacing them with energy not affected by the above factors. Reiki is a complementary alternative method to support the body's innate healing ability and to balance and release stresses, tensions and worries.

Q: What is a Reiki Session like?
A: The client will stretch out on a massage table fully clothed and relaxed. The practitioner will use light hand placements on certain parts of the body to balance the energy flow and release and diminish aches, pains, stresses and tensions.

Q: Is Reiki a Type of Massage?
A: No, Reiki is not a massage, because with Reiki tissue will not be manipulated. Only very light hand placements are used therefore minimizing the effect on the body and existing pains and aches.

Q: What will I feel with a Reiki session?
A: You will feel the transmission of energy as soothing comforting warmth, tingling or pulsing. A regular sessions lasts about 45 to 60 minutes and the client usually will feel very relaxed, unexplainably light, refreshed and very content and peaceful with diminished body aches and pains.

Q: How many sessions do I need?
A: Reiki is a holistic method like chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, homeopathy etc. which aim to strengthen our core. Holistic methods are not designed to treat a specific symptom and instead bolster the body to heal itself.

Reiki will release stresses and tensions and reduce imbalances on a emotional mental and physical level. It is therefore recommended to attend a series of sessions - 5 to 10 - depending on the severity of the problems and to enable the body to work from the core level.

Reiki's effects accumulate with every session, and over time, your symptoms will be lessened.

Q: Should I adjust the medicines I am currently taking?
A: Do not adjust your medicines or change the frequencies of your doctor visits. Let you doctor know that you are supplementing your treatments with a holistic alternative therapy and have him monitor your progress.
